The Refer a Friend Scheme Terms and Conditions

Our Refer a Friend scheme allows eligible customers to refer their friends to our website, and for both the referring customer and their eligible friend(s) to receive a discount on their next qualifying purchase of products from our website.

The specific terms and conditions that apply to the Refer a Friend Scheme are set out below. Please also refer to:

  • our Privacy Policy, which sets out how we will use your personal information and can be found here; and
  • the terms and conditions for use of the Referral Candy site platform, which we are using to administer this scheme, and Referral Candy's privacy policy which sets out how they will process your personal information in relation to the scheme, which can be found .

These terms and conditions apply to any eligible customer that refers any friend(s) under this scheme, as well as to any new customer that is referred under this scheme.

Who can participate in the scheme?

In order to be eligible to participate in this scheme and to receive a referral link for sending to your friends, you must have signed up to participate in the scheme via our UK website at (https://uk.whiteclaw.com/) during the promotional period of this scheme, which will commence on 28th September 2023 and will continue until 31st March 2024.

Only domestic consumers aged over 18 that are resident in England, Wales or Scotland are eligible to participate in this scheme. Business customers cannot participate in this scheme.

No part of the referral mechanism is directed to persons under the age of 18. IF YOU ARE UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE, YOU MAY NOT USE, ACCESS OR PARTICIPATE IN THE SCHEME AT ANY TIME OR IN ANY MANNER.

In order for us to administer this scheme in compliance with applicable privacy laws, we can only send referral links to existing customers that have agreed to receive marketing communications from us and our partners, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. How does the scheme work?

After signing up to participate in the scheme via our website during the promotional period of this scheme (as described above), an eligible existing customer will be in order refer their friends to our website via the Anafore ReferalCandy website (https://www.referralcandy.com/).

This link can be shared with up to friends that are aged 18 or over and that are also domestic consumers resident in England, Wales or Scotland.

The link will entitle the referred friend to a £5 discount off White Claw® products when buying on our website before the end of the discount expiry period, as long as the referred friend has not previously purchased White Claw® products from us via our website and the value of the purchase is more than £40.

If a referral link is used, the referring existing customer will also receive a £5 discount on their next purchase via our website that is over £40, which will automatically be applied at checkout.

Each referral link and any associated discount (for both referred friends and referring existing customers) will expire and cannot be used after the end of the promotional period of this scheme (i.e. 31st March 2024).

Before sharing any referral link with any friend(s), you must ensure you have obtained their consent to receiving this type of marketing communication.

Conditions

Eligible customers cannot generate or share links for their own use.

Eligible customers and their friends cannot sell or transfer any referral link, or share it on coupon sites.

It is not permissible to create several accounts in order to carry out several orders with a link in pyramid mode.

If we deem any person to be sharing or using their referral link in breach of these terms and conditions or against the spirit of the scheme we reserve the right to cancel any referral link.

Referral links and discounts cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts or offers on our website.

Any referral link and the associated discounts can only be used towards purchases made on our website – they are not valid for purchases made by any other means (e.g. on another website or in store).

Value of referral links

The referral link has no monetary value and may not be redeemed for cash. The referral link is not transferable and cannot be auctioned, traded, bartered or sold.

Amendments to these terms and conditions

We reserve the right to modify or amend at any time these terms and conditions and/or the methods through which this scheme is operated or administered.

We reserve the right to disqualify any person from participation in this scheme at any time at our sole discretion, including if you do not comply with any of the terms and conditions, you fail to comply with any applicable laws or if we find or reasonably suspect fraud or abuse in connection with this scheme.

We reserve the right to change the value of referral discounts at any time.

Returns and cancellations

If a qualifying purchase made by a referred friend is cancelled or returned for a refund for any reason, the referring existing customer will no longer be entitled to the discount associated with the referral.

If a qualifying purchase made by an existing customer is cancelled or returned for a refund for any reason, then we may, at our sole discretion, cancel any associated referral link (and the relevant discount(s)).

Any refunds that are paid by us in accordance with our standard terms and conditions of sale will reflect any discount that has been applied by us in connection with this scheme.

Our liability to you

These terms and conditions do not exclude our liability (if any) to you for:

  • personal injury or death resulting from our negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
  • any matter which it would be illegal for us to exclude or to attempt to exclude our liability.

We are only liable to you for losses which you suffer as a direct result of our breach of these terms and conditions and which are reasonably foreseeable.  We are not liable for any other losses.

We are not responsible to you for any business losses that you may incur (including but not limited to lost profits, lost revenues, business interruption or lost data) or for losses to non-consumers.

You may have other rights granted by law and these terms and conditions do not affect these rights.

An eligible customer is solely responsible for any sharing of a referral link with their friends (including ensuring that they have obtained their friends' consent to sharing a referral link with them), and we have no liability or responsibility to any person in connection with any sharing of any referral link.
